What are fillers?
As their name suggests, fillers are used to fill depressions in your face (temporal depressions, eyelids, smile lines). They are also used to add volume to certain places like the cheekbones, lips, chin or jawline. The most common substance used as a filler is hyaluronic acid (HA). Depending on the brand and type, hyaluronic acid can last from 1 to 2 years in your face. Permanent fillers should NEVER be applied in the face.
